T Loop
Hearing Aid
System

A T Loop Hearing System, commonly referred to as a hearing loop, telecoil system, or audio induction loop, is an assistive listening technology designed for individuals with hearing aids or cochlear implants. This innovative system works by creating a wireless magnetic signal from a sound source, such as a microphone, PA system, or television, which is then directly picked up by a telecoil (T-coil) within the hearing aid when it is set to the "T" setting. The primary advantage of a T Loop Hearing System is that it delivers clear, amplified sound directly into the hearing aid, eliminating background noise and enhancing the clarity of speech or music for the listener. This makes it especially beneficial in public spaces like churches, theaters, conference rooms, and airports, where background noise can significantly hinder a hearing-impaired person's ability to understand speech.

The system consists of a loop of wire that encircles a designated area and is connected to an amplifier. The amplifier receives the audio signal, which is then transmitted through the loop as a magnetic field. Hearing aids equipped with a T-coil can receive this magnetic signal and convert it back into high-quality sound, tailored to the user's specific hearing requirements. This direct transmission method ensures that the sound is not only clearer but also personalized to each listener's hearing loss profile. T Loop Hearing Systems are celebrated for their discretion and effectiveness, allowing users to participate more fully in everyday activities and public events without the stigma or inconvenience of traditional assistive listening devices. This system is tied directly to our sound system and is available for those who ask. Please ask an usher or Pastor Mark if you desire to use one.
