How to Keep Christ the Center of your life

In these challenging times, it's easy to become distracted or disheartened by the waves of life that seem to push us in every direction. Yet, it is in moments like these that we are reminded of the anchor we have in Jesus, the cornerstone of our faith, and the center of our lives.

The apostle Paul.......

in his letter to the Colossians, beautifully articulates this truth: "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him" (Colossians 3:17). This verse calls us to keep Christ at the forefront of everything we do, acknowledging Him in every aspect of our lives. By doing so, we invite His presence into our daily actions, decisions, and relationships, ensuring that He remains our focal point.

In the Gospel of John, Jesus tells us, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5). This vivid imagery of the vine and branches serves as a powerful reminder of our need to stay connected to Christ. Just as branches cannot bear fruit on their own, we cannot thrive spiritually or make a lasting impact in the world without maintaining a close relationship with Jesus. Our strength, our purpose, and our very life flow from Him.

Let us also remember the words of James, who encourages us to persevere through trials, knowing that our faith is being strengthened: "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him" (James 1:12). Trials and challenges are an inevitable part of life, but they also provide us with opportunities to deepen our faith and reliance on Christ.

I encourage each one of you, dear brothers and sisters, to daily renew your commitment to keeping Christ at the center of your life. Let His words dwell in you richly, guiding you in wisdom and truth. Engage in regular prayer, seeking His will and direction. And in all things, let the love of Christ motivate and inspire you to live in a manner worthy of the calling you have received.

As we endeavor to keep Christ as our central focus, let us also strive to support and uplift one another in love and unity. Together, as a body of believers, we can reflect the light of Christ to a world in desperate need of His hope and grace.

May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). And may you be filled with the joy and assurance that comes from walking closely with our Lord.
